It’s Day 10 of Speedier Reads book reviews from Faster Ideas.
Today - Why I Write by George Orwell.
This collection of essays by novelist George Orwell (written before, during and after WWII) is brutal, honest and thought-provoking.
Political in parts, sharp and biting in others - it’s pure Orwell. A must-read for any writer or wannabe writer - Orwell’s view of the process of writing and the state of the world (as it was then) is immensely interesting reading - especially in today’s somewhat confusing times.
